A WEDDING of district inter-
est, was celebrated at Alma
road Presbyterian Church, St.
Kilda, on Easter Saturday, when
Christina Isobel, younger
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
Spring, of "Ardoe," Romsey, be-
came the wife of Thomas James,
second son of Mrs. Dunstone, of
"Devon Dale," Cobden, and the
late Mr. J. W. Dunstone. The
Rev. Esmond Mew officiated.
The bride, as .she entered the
church on the arm of her father,
made a very charming picture
in her gown of silk threaded
lace over satin. The heart-shap-
ed neckline and slim fitting
bodice set of the very full skirt j
which was gathered at the waist
and fell in graceful folds to a
very long train. The appliqued
tulle veil was held in place by a
coronet ol orange blossom. Her
shower bouquet was composed of
cream roses, white tiger lilies
and gardenias.
Mrs. J. Tom, "Chintoin
Grange," Chinton, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor,
and Miss M. Green, of "Studley
Park," Kew, was bridesmaid. The
matron of honor wore a gown
of pink embossed marquisette
and the bridesmaid a similar
frock in powder-blue. The
gowns featured heart-shaped
necklines with slim fitting bo-
dices and the full bouffant
skirts ending in a short train
edged in self ruffles. The
skirts also featured dipped pep-
lums edged in self ruffles.
Matching straw hats trimmed
with feathers to tone with their
respective gowns were a dainty
finish. Bouquets of pastel-pink
cacti dahlias and delphiniums
were carried and the floral de-
corations of the church blended
harmoniously with the wedding
group.
Mr. J. Dunstone, of Cobden
(brother of the bridegroom),
was best man and Mr. D. Cur-
nick, of Warrnambool, was
groomsman.
During the signing of the re-
gister, Miss L. Lovett sang the
solo, "Where E'er You Walk."
The reception was held at
"Tudor Court," Kooyong Road,
Caullield, where Mrs. Spring was
assisted by Mrs. Dunstone in re
ceiving the guests. A spray of
white tiger lilies was worn by
Mrs. Spring in her lightweight
beige coat over a London tan and
white frock with tan accessories.
Mrs. Dunstone wore a navy suit
with white crepe de chine blouse
and navy accessories. In her
lapel she wore a spray of blue
delphiniums and maiden-hair
fern. The three-tiered wedding
cake was decorated in a lace
design similar to that of the
bride's gown, and was decorated
by Miss D. Schumer, who work-
ed with the bride when both
were dietitians at the Royal Mel-
bourne Hospital. Many tele-
grams were received, and a cable
from Australia House. London.
To travel in, the bride wore a
pale blue moss crepe frock inset
with lace, a matching straw hat
trimmed with pink, and navy
blue accessories". A spray ol'
Cecil Brunner roses was worn.
The honeymoon was at
Lorne and at present the couple
are residing at Ashburton. whilst
Mr. Dunstone continues his
studies at the University.
