Albert was born in the home of his mothers parents (Lee Terrace - Rosewater, South Australia, Australia), where many of the children were born. It is believed his pareents were living on the dairy farm at Langhorne's Creek during this period and His mother Millicent returned to Rosewater for his birth and to be nearer family and medical support.

Thompson-Peterson Petersen
At the Yatala Methodist Church the marriage was celebrated of Albert J. G., the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Thompson, M.P., of Rosewater Gardens, to Amy L., the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Peterson, of Peel street, Yatala. The Rev. P. R. French officiated.
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory marocain and angel skin lace silk. The net veil, forming a train, was held in place with a net cap banded with orange buds. She carried a sheaf of white flowers.
The bridesmaids, Misses M. Shillabeer and M. Thompson, were dressed in pink crepe de chine, and carried pink sheafs.
The flower girls, Fay Buttfield and Valda Peterson, nieces of the bririe, were dressed in blue silk taffeta and carried pink posies.
Mr. Theo. Peterson sang 'Because." A lucky horseshoe was liung on the bride's arm by Betty Buttfield.
A reception was held in the church hall, and about 50 guests were received by the parents of the party.
The bride's mother was gowned in blue wool de chine, with hat to match.
The bridegroom's mother wore a brown costume with hat to match.
The bride's travelling dress was green marocain with hat and bag to match.
