  Judith Ann Belva Timperley, the daughter of Everett and Sarah (Fredrickson) Anderson was born May 1, 1937 at Osceola, Nebraska. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at her home in Fairfield, NE. Judy attended Stomsburg High School and later received her teaching degree from Midland College. She taught in a one room schoolhouse in rural Monroe, Nebraska. She loved the children there and very much enjoyed the time she spent in the classroom. While teaching there, she met Melvin Engberg, who she would later marry in June of 1957. Together, they were blessed with three children, Scott, Chris, and Shawn. She was later married to Lee Timperley of Battle Creek, Nebraka. Judy loved sports and while living in Battle Creek was able to drive the team bus to the many football Judy loved sports and while living in Battle Creek was able to drive the team bus to the many football games, basketball games, and track meets that her children participated in. The other job she truly loved was being the owner/operator of the Chicken Shack, a cafe she owned in downtown Battle Creek. She later ran a restaurant in Norfolk, called the Alley Rose. She loved the restaurant business and interacting with her employees and guests! At retirement, in the fall of 2000, Judy moved to Fairfield, NE, to be close to her children, and their families. During her retirement, she lived a simple and quiet life, close to her family. She loved working in her garden and yard, appreciating the outdoors. She enjoyed watching Game Show Network, Columbo, and Bonanza with her closest most beloved dog, Skippy. She passed away in her sleep, St. Patrick's Day afternoon, Tuesday, the 17th. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin, and an infant brother, Clark. Survivors include Lee Timperley of Battle Creek, Nebraska, her son Scott and his wife Peg, of Hastings, her daughter Chris, of Fairfield, her son Shawn and his wife Jami, of Kearney. Grandchildren, Jamie Johnson and husband Jeff of Lincoln, Jacob Engberg and wife, Amanda of St. Paul, Justin Engberg of Hastings, Taylor Engberg of Fairfield, Liz and husband Brandan Hathaway, Sydney Engberg, Alex Engberg, Isabella Engberg, Sam Engberg all of Kearney. Great grandchildren, Evan, Ayva, and Carson Engberg, Parker, Kylie, and Halle Johnson, Major Pittman, Kealey, Karleigh, and Kendyl Hathaway. Due to the COVID-19 current crowd restrictions, the family is tentatively planning a time of remembrance and celebration of life on her birthday, May 1st, at the Alley Rose in Kearney.
